Fight the bigots.

Sorry it's been a while... the semester is getting busy. But there is something important going on in California that requires action.

Several months ago, the California Supreme Court came to their senses and acknowledged that gay people are people too, and thus deserve human rights, including the right to civil marriage to the consenting adult of their choice regardless of gender.

Of course, the "Christian" Right, whose hateful vendetta against anyone who doesn't adhere to their notion of the "traditional" family knows no bounds, immediately filed a ballot initiative, Prop 8, to remove those rights. Because between saying "Judge not, lest ye be judged" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," Christ managed to squeeze in an "except gay people"... right?

These hateful bigots make a mockery of Christ. Quite simply, they need to repent. That is all I will say on that matter for the moment.

Nevertheless, it would appear that their campaign of hate is working, at least for the moment; the No on 8 Campaign is $6 million down in fundraising (thanks to the "generous" contributions of deep-pocketed heretical bigots from across the country) and it's apparently down in the polls too, by a few points.

Please contribute to the No on 8 campaign today, and help us not only firmly establish civil rights for all Americans but also to start taking back Christianity from the bigoted heretics who have taken it over.
